Media Duel
Media Duel is an Instagram I account I created as a practice in Social Media branding and profile management. Each post poses a rivalry between two pieces of entertainment with the goal of inviting friendly discourse on the subject.
Post Design
Categories of entertainment under the account’s umbrella include music, movies and TV. Visually, each post is based on a common theme shared by pieces being compared. Users are encouraged to voice their opinions in the comments and express who they’re rooting for.

Logo Design
The concept is a contemporary take on classic ‘coat of arms’ imagery. I included a play button in place of a shield to imply a media-based focus and two clashing swords to convey a clear sense of rivalry.
Concepting
I experimented with variety of designs before reaching an iteration I was excited about. Pictured below are a series of versions editing color palette, sizing and other subtle details.
