Hive Mind
Hive Mind is a mock apparel company rooted in producing well made, long lasting pieces of clothing. Each garment is made with the ethos of a hive, embodying a unique celestial charm.
Logo Design
This logo was born out of the synthesis of two seemingly unlike components; bees and the cosmos. I wanted to creatively combine the collective spirit of a hive with the enduring allure and curiosity of outer space.
Concepting
I produced a series of sketches toying with the creation of a creature part honey bee, part Saturn. I continued refining until I had a variety of iterations of the concept.
Refinement
I ultimately decided a relatively simple version of the character and dubbed him ‘Cosmonaut’ with the goal of creating a recognizable mascot, instilling memorability for a previously unseen brand.
